Can you believe it has almost been 3 years since World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal? The next World Youth Day will be in Seoul, South Korea in 2027. Night Pilgrims Experience was a reflective and immersive broadcast package that captured the spiritual heart of World Youth Day 2023. Airing during live coverage on EWTN, the piece invited viewers into the pilgrim experience of 1.5 million faithful during the Saturday Vigil, the night before the Sunday morning Mass with the Holy Father.
I served as the producer and editor of piece in collaboration with cinematographer, Patrick Leonard. We delivered the project working after hours to make sure it could air during the morning Live coverage.
